The Radiology Porter Aide is responsible for transporting patients using stretchers and wheelchairs and assisting clinical staff with patient lifting and positioning. Additionally, they manage supply inventories, maintain equipment cleanliness, and perform basic clerical tasks to support medical imaging services.
Candidates must have a Grade 12 education and two years of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Physical ability to perform lifting duties and effective communication skills are required.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the Radiology Porter Aide practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice as well as utilizing a client and family centered care model and the vision and values of the department within Fraser Health (FH).
The Radiology Porter Aide acts as a member of an integrated team within a high volume medical imaging environment by performing duties such as transporting clients to and from required areas using stretchers and wheelchairs, assisting technical and nursing staff with the lifting and transferring of clients, maintaining supplies for various carts, cupboards, trays, rooms and storage areas and cleaning equipment and supply areas as required. Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
Grade 12 and two (2) years’ recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
