The expeditor manages the flow of operations between the kitchen and dining area to ensure efficient service and quality standards. They coordinate communication between staff, inspect dishes for presentation, and assist with guest service needs.

The Restaurant expeditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of operations between the kitchen and dining area. Work with kitchen staff and servers to ensure clear communication and efficient workflow. Inspect dishes before they are served to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards.
Anticipate guest needs, ascertain satisfaction, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests.
Assist in the set up and break down of kitchen pass.
Polishing and stocking of linen, plates, silver ware and glassware for service.
Preparation of garnishes for service.
Maintain cleanliness and orderliness throughout the Restaurant for the shift.
Assistance with guest service includes retrieving food from the kitchen and safely transporting it to guests, as well as removal of items from the guest’s table.
Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors.
Coordinate the BOH and servers to maintain efficient service.
Maintain a clear and open line of communication between the FOH and BOH, assist with any order issues.
Checks dishes for accuracy, presentation, and consistency.
Inform culinary team of pace and flow of service, dictate the flow if necessary.
Minimum one year’s food service or related work.
Previous experience in a luxury and/or Michelin starred environment, highly desirable.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to handle difficult situations and guests.
This position is not eligible for work sponsorship/visa. Candidates must possess valid US work authorization.
Hourly: $21.56
