The Project Worker will provide relief support to clients within Focus Ireland services, ensuring adherence to organizational policies and health and safety regulations. They will work collaboratively with internal teams and external agencies to maintain accurate records and implement effective care strategies.
Candidates must hold a degree-level qualification in social care or a related field and/or be a CORU registered Social Care Worker. Proven experience in social care settings, specifically with marginalized groups, and knowledge of therapeutic crisis intervention are required.
Focus Ireland are recruiting Relief Panel Project Workers to support our services in Dublin City Centre. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading organisation in the field of social care, this opportunity will allow you to work in a range of services and develop your professional practice to an exceptional standard.
What you will do:
To work within the framework of the overall objective of Focus Ireland and the Focus Ireland values.
To work on a relief basis as part of a team within the framework of the policies and procedures in place for the project or as directed by the project leader, assistant project leader or section manager.
To work in close liaison and co-operation with other teams within Focus Ireland and other Statutory and Voluntary Agencies as deemed appropriate.
To record and maintain records on a relief basis in relation to the project and individual clients in accordance with statutory requirements and health and safety legislation.
To attend and participate in team, review and agency meetings as required.
To assist in the implementation of the settlement policies and strategies of Focus Ireland.
To work in close liaison with and co-operate with other Focus Ireland projects.
To undertake such other duties as might be reasonably assigned to you from time to time in consultation with the Project Leader
To observer all Health, Safety and Welfare at Work regulations and notify management of any risks or concerns you may have in relation to same
A Third Level qualification at degree level in the area of social care i.e. youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology, etc and/or be a CORU registered Social Care Worker
Proven direct work experience in relief/part-time work in a social care setting
Experience of supporting marginalised clients/groups
A working knowledge and understanding of Therapeutic Crisis Intervention model
Some experience of key working, assessments and care planning
Ability to work well in a team environment
Reliability and flexibility
Excellent report writing and IT skills
This role is subject to Garda Vetting and satisfactory reference checks
