POSITION SUMMARY  

The Home Delivery Supervisor is responsible for supervising the daily operations, staffing, service quality, and successful execution of Feeding South Florida's® Home Delivery Program. This role exercises judgement in supervising Home Delivery Drivers, assigning and prioritizing work, monitoring performance, resolving operational issues, managing client enrollment and program participation, coordinating delivery logistics, overseeing fleet maintenance, and ensuring compliance with program requirements, safety standards and service expectations. 

As a member of the Partner Services team, the Home Delivery Supervisor plays a critical role in expanding food access to vulnerable populations across South Florida. The position requires exceptional organizational skills, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, while exemplifying the ability to plan, organize, direct, and evaluate program operations; make recommendations to improve service delivery and exemplify Feeding South Florida's core values and commitment to community impact. 

COMPENSATION: $50,000 - $57,000 per year  

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES 
  • Supervise the overall execution of the Home Delivery Program, including client enrollment and communication, interdepartmental collaboration, and troubleshooting opportunities and continuous improvement of program processes.  
  • Maintain and grow program participation by maximizing client enrollment in areas supported through grants and government funding. 
  • Effectively update client information on routing software (currently OmniTracs) and optimize route efficiency for home delivery drivers. Actively communicate with clients when receiving delivery the next business day. 
  • Screen and approve eligible clients in accordance with Feeding South Florida program guidelines and requirements. Communicate proactively with clients regarding enrollment status, delivery schedules, and program updates. 
  • Maintain accurate client records and program data including deliveries in Omnitracs, Oasis Insight, Excel, and other program management systems. 
  • Coordinate with Allocations and Warehouse teams to ensure orders for drivers are prepared, verified, and staged for delivery for the following business day. 
  • Supervise and support Home Delivery Drivers, including assigning daily work, setting expectations, monitoring performance and individual coaching ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), safety standards, and program requirements. Communicate daily via huddles/team meetings with drivers and escalate or recommend corrective action when appropriate. 
  • Monitor driver productivity, delivery completion, route efficiency, attendance, overtime, analyze performance trends, and adjust priorities and staffing needs within established guidelines while maintaining responsible stewardship of organizational resources. 
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary process for Home Delivery Drivers by providing input, documentation and recommendations that inform employment decisions. 
  • Coordinate with repair facilities, mechanics, tow companies, and service providers for routine maintenance and emergency vehicle repairs. Track all Truck Maintenance diagnostics, costs and warranties for each vehicle, negotiating prices to stay within budget. Tracking includes, but is not limited to, vehicle diagnostics, maintenance schedules, warranties, and repair expenses.  
  • Collect and document participant stories, feedback, and survey responses to support program evaluation and reporting as needed. 
  • Evaluate program data, regularly identify service gaps, participation trends, and program outputs and provide reports regularly to program leadership to support philanthropic and grant reporting activities. 
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with healthcare providers, veterans' organizations, community-based organizations, case managers, and partners to serve as referral pathways for the Home Delivery Program. 
  • Complete all online modules and final exam for 701B Comprehensive Assessment Training from the Florida Department of Elder Affairs (DOEA). 
  • Schedule and conduct assessments via home visits with senior citizens, as needed.  
  • Represent Feeding South Florida at community meetings, partner events, and stakeholder engagements with professionalism, empathy, and a solutions-oriented approach. 
  • Identify areas of opportunity within the home delivery program to increase utilization of other public benefits and resources such as SNAP, Medicaid, Extra Help, and Medicare Savings Program. 
  • Assist with other duties as assigned. 

Requirements

 

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 

  • High School Diploma or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of two years supervisory/management experience required. Experience supervising field-based team members preferred. 
  • Ability to pass a level 2 background check required. 
  • Bilingual: English/Spanish required. 
  • Ability to work effectively across different departments, including transportation and warehouse. 
  • Ability to maintain a pleasant and calm demeanor under pressure in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Excellent organizational skills, with attention to detail. 
  • Ability to speak clearly and communicate effectively using various communication mediums,   
    e-mail, written correspondence, phone calls, etc. 
  • Excellent computer and technology skills; ability to type 50 WPM, schedule video conference using a variety of software such as Teams, Zoom, etc. 
  • Working knowledge of MS Suite; Excel, Word, SharePoint, PowerPoint 
  • Possession of a valid and clean Class E Driver’s License  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORKING CONDITIONS 

  • Hours of Operation: Organization hours are Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.; this position may work additional hours occasionally throughout the year, especially during peak times such as holiday seasons, and disaster response.  
  • Environment: This position works in an office setting with varying periods of standing, talking, and/or visual concentration, and use of office equipment.  Must maintain office safety standards. Occasional work will occur in the warehouse or outside in fields and warehouses in inclement weather. The noise in the work environment is usually moderate to loud. 
  • Travel: This position may have occasional travel for meetings, conferences or special events requiring a personal vehicle. 
  • OSHA Standards: Lifting requirements are 50 pounds and when lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, use two or more people to lift the load.
