Part-time/Full-Time: Part-time (Monday 1;30-4 pm, Wednesday 3-11 pm, Friday 3-11 pm, Saturday 3-11 pm)

Summary
This position is a key part of a team that supports individuals receiving support for chemical dependency, mental health, and offender rehabilitation. Due to program demographics, only male candidates will be considered for this role. Students in criminal justice, sociology, social work, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Primary responsibilities include the oversight of all aspects of New Life Center Genesis Program and the physical building. Major components of the role consist of Christian discipleship, faith-based recovery programming, guest oversight, coordination of care with Case Management staff, security and safety of guests, visitors and other staff, physical building operation, sanitation and safety, and volunteer management. Genesis Program Recover Ministry Advocates will also be cross-trained in the Emergency Services Program Shelter Supervisor position.
Essential Functions
Essential Function 1: Program and Guest Support
Lead educational and spiritual groups and classes.
Help guests with homework.
Provide supportive feedback, valuable insight, and accountability to program guests.
Promote recovery through role modeling, sharing experiences, encouragement, community connection, and overall wellness.
Assign/reassign program guests to Case Manager and Genesis Counselor.
Screen and approve new Genesis applicants.
Review guest relapses and behavior issues; determine guest placement in the program.
Develop personalized recovery and repair plans for guests who relapse.
Essential Function 2: Operations and Administrative Management
Develop personalized recovery and Answer phones, direct visitors, check guests in/out, and document information in the database.
Maintain guest records and departmental records.
Ensure proper implementation and use of policies and operational procedures.
Coordinate guest transportation needs and maintain schedules.
Drive company vehicles, including a 15-passenger van, as needed.
Stock and maintain office, cleaning, and food supply inventory.
Participate in staff meetings, conferences, seminars, and training events.
Assist with other Mission-related work as required.
Essential Function 3: Safety, Security, and Compliance
Assist with other Mission-related work as required.
Administer alcohol breathalyzers and urinalysis drug screenings.
Conduct locker, room, and clothing inspections.
Complete required paperwork and documentation related to screenings and inspections.
Provide building and grounds security, including security checks and monitoring cameras/alarms.
Utilize de-escalation techniques to maintain a safe environment.
Contact emergency services or law enforcement when necessary.
Maintain cleanliness of the facility and oversee guest participation in cleaning efforts.
Essential Function 4: Leadership, Collaboration, and Community Engagement
Work cooperatively with staff, guests, and volunteers.
Maintain open and effective communication with peers and staff.
Greet and supervise volunteers as needed.
Oversee and mediate staff and guest conflicts.
Collaborate with the Community Outreach Coordinator regarding volunteer opportunities and scheduling.
Establish and maintain partnerships with churches, ministries, law enforcement, treatment facilities, medical centers, and other agencies.
Provide support to the Emergency Services Program as backup to the shelter supervisor team when required.

Education and Experience
Required Education and Experience
High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education and Experience
1 year experience in a recovery-related field.
Additional Eligibility Requirements
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
Must possess a valid driver’s license, maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with the organization’s insurance carrier requirements, and provide proof of insurance, as required for the performance of job duties.
If in recovery, a minimum of one year of sustained recovery with active participation in a 12-step program is required; two or more years is preferred.

Work Environment
Primarily works in an office setting with regular computer use, sitting, standing, and typing for extended periods.
Must be able to move throughout the facility, climb stairs, and respond to situations as needed.
Occasional lifting up to 30–40 lbs. and performing light cleaning or restocking tasks.
Requires clear verbal and written communication and ability to observe and respond to guest needs.
On-site role; not eligible for remote work.
