What We're looking for:
Are you looking for a role in a dynamic global business?
We’re looking for a Director of Field Operations to join our team. This role is key to designing, leading, and executing EROAD’s end-to-end field delivery model, ensuring consistent, high-quality customer outcomes at scale across hardware installation and on-site operations.
About the Role:
As Director of Field Operations, you will own the operating system for field execution, ensuring work is planned, resourced, and delivered safely, efficiently, and to a consistently high standard. You will translate commercial demand into practical field plans, capacity models, and execution schedules, enabling predictable and scalable delivery across regions and partners.
You will lead internal field teams and third-party installers, setting clear standards across safety, quality, and performance. This role is critical in building scalable capability, enforcing best practices, and ensuring field operations remain compliant, efficient, and aligned to customer and business outcomes.
As a Director of Field Operations, you will be responsible for:
• Field Operations Design and Execution
Own the end-to-end field operating model for SaaS, hardware installation, and on-site delivery. Ensure work is consistently delivered to a high standard through structured planning, resourcing, and execution. Define operating rhythms, standards, and controls to enable disciplined delivery across regions and partners.
• Workforce Capability and Third-Party Management
Build and continuously uplift capability across internal field teams and third-party installers. Establish onboarding, training, accreditation, and performance management standards to ensure consistent delivery. Proactively address capability gaps and performance issues to protect customer outcomes.
• Quality, Performance and Continuous Improvement
Own performance outcomes including installation quality, timeliness, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Use metrics, reporting, and feedback loops to identify issues early and drive continuous improvement across field operations.
• Health and Safety Leadership
Hold accountability for the safety of all personnel in field operations. Design and enforce safety frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and EROAD standards. Promote a culture where safety is non-negotiable and continuously improved.
Skills and Experience:
We’re looking for a strong operational leader who can design and scale field operations while maintaining excellence in safety, quality, and delivery. You will bring:
- Proven ability to design and run large-scale field operations in complex, distributed environments
- Strong working knowledge of health and safety systems and contractor management
- Experience in capacity planning, scheduling, and demand management
- Commercial and operational experience managing third-party installers and partners
- Ability to define and enforce operational standards, systems, and playbooks
- Strong analytical capability with experience using data, dashboards, and KPIs to drive decisions
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior levels
- A continuous improvement mindset with focus on quality, efficiency, and customer outcomes.
