The Yard Assistant is responsible for serving customers in the yard, both manually and using a forklift, while managing the loading and unloading of lorries. They also handle the receipt and storage of products from suppliers and maintain general housekeeping standards in the yard.
Candidates must hold a driving license and preferably a counterbalance forklift license, though training can be provided. A friendly, professional manner and good communication skills are essential for delivering high-quality customer service.

As a Yard Assistant, you’ll be on the frontline when it comes to serving our customers and delivering the very best customer service.
Serving customers in the yard, both manually and with a forklift
Loading/unloading lorries
Receiving and storing products from suppliers and dealing with associated paperwork
Housekeeping in the yard
Counterbalance forklift license (preferred but training can be provided)
Driving license
Knowledge of building materials would be an advantage but training can be provided
Friendly and professional manner
Good communication skills
