Responsible for preparing savory recipes including salads, dressings, and meats, as well as items for the grab-and-go cooler. The role involves maintaining quality consistency and collaborating with the savory team to meet daily production goals.
Requires the ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance. Candidates must have basic math skills and be available for early morning shifts starting between 5-7 AM, including at least one weekend shift.

We’re looking to add a prep cook to our crew. Prior culinary experience is a plus! Pay starts at $18.25 per hour, which includes a tip share; we will pay more for an experienced candidate. This position is responsible for preparing the various recipes for service in savory kitchen (salads, dressings, fillings, compound butters, prepping vegetables, fruits and meats) and also prepares items for our grab and go cooler (pot pies, pizza sauces, soups). Cross-training on at least one other station in the department is to be expected within 3 months of starting.
This position requires shifts that begin between 5-7AM. At least one weekend shift per week is required for full-time employment. This is a full-time position with 40 scheduled hours/5 shifts per week.

This position requires constant standing and frequent walking and bending, and the ability to lift and/or carry up to 25 pounds without assistance and up to 50 pounds with assistance. Basic math skills are required.

Thanks to word-of-mouth, some good press, and building an excellent team, Dozen continues to this day. Dozen's bakery/cafe was opened on February 2nd, 2015- Groundhog Day! Today, our team at Dozen provides pastries and bread to many local Nashville restaurants, and serves customers from Nashville and beyond our full line of bread, pastries, and menus for breakfast, lunch, and brunch. Thanks to your continued support we are moving to a larger space to better accommodate you in early 2025!
