The role of the Barista Lead is to aid the District Manager in training and developing the barista team, as well as managing store performance, with the long-term goal of gaining the knowledge and skills to be an effective store manager. This position is integral for achieving the store's daily and weekly operational expectations, leading by example through excellent customer service, and delegating/executing all necessary tasks for the store to run efficiently. This form describes the general nature of the position. Job responsibilities can change based on operational needs. The Barista Lead position is full-time (35- 40 hours per week).
Pay Structure
The Barista Lead position is full-time, hourly, and tip-eligible, with a pay rate of $18.00/hr.

Job Responsibilities
Leadership and Training
Set a standard of high performance by demonstrating excellence in customer interaction, barista skills, and product knowledge.
Provide constructive, in-the-moment coaching to staff as it pertains to barista knowledge and skills, customer service, coffee knowledge, and communication.
Complete training and development documentation as delegated by the District Manager, ensuring training milestones are met and documented.
Lead the response in securing coverage for unexpected shift absences.
Full comprehension of resources and proper channels of inter-departmental communication.
Play a key role in building and fostering relationships and partnerships within the local community.
Work with the BOH manager to ensure the barista and kitchen teams meet all operating standards, including cleanliness and task completion.
Assist the District Manager in new hire development. Ensure initial training and onboarding occur properly and that training milestones are met.
Store Operations
Work with the District Manager to set ordering PARs for coffee, food, and supplies; and to manage order placement and receiving with an emphasis on communicating delivery issues and product shortages.
Assist in flawlessly executing all reporting throughout the week.
Utilize waste logs to inform ordering adjustments and minimize waste.
Protect and maintain store assets, cleanliness, safety, and health.
Assist in creating effective merchandising on display shelves and monitor FIFO practices.
Use sound judgment to manage resources, labor, and inventory to positively impact efficiency, goal achievement, and store performance.
