The Sales Account Manager, Japan provides exceptional customer service and account management to key CyrusOne Japan accounts. This role places a high emphasis on customer satisfaction and ensures that a long-term relationship is maintained and developed through timely communication, providing relative and meaningful business reviews, and growing new business opportunities.

· Acts as a key leader with direct responsibility for the customer

· Meet activity metrics as defined

· Identify customer’s business needs, challenges and technical requirements and work with appropriate groups to identify and offer a CyrusOne solution

· Perform monthly, quarterly business reviews for each customer

· Coordinate customer installations with Implementation Manager

· Publish notes from team meetings with action items

· Deliver exception customer service by responding promptly, setting and meeting customer expectations

· Conduct customer formal cadence meetings, track, publish and follow up on outstanding issues

· Develop, administer and execute customer contact (touch) program based on customer size, renewal date, and growth potential

· Maintain 100% accuracy of Sales Force data

· Assist in contract renewals and additional orders for services

· Assist with internal process training

· Drive at least one process improvement idea

· Work with peers and with cross-functional teams to resolve issues

· Work with the CyrusOne joint venture partner in Japan (Kansai Electric)

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Fluent in Japanese and English

· Strong database and spreadsheet skills (i.e. Access, Excel)

· Strong organizational skills

· Ability to analyze data and processes

· Strong project management skills

· Ability to work in a fast paced work environment

· Ability to effectively use sales automation tools, applications software and equipment to manage the sales/service process

· Strong customer relation management skills

· Able to travel frequently (both domestic and international)

· Ideally have connections/relationships with hyperscale organisations

· Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment

· Build and maintain strong relationship with customers, partners and colleagues
