The Bagger is responsible for the safe and productive operation of plant packaging processes, including operating the paper bagging and stretch wrapping systems. They must also perform quality control sampling, monitor bag weights, and assist with plant maintenance.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED and 2-3 years of experience with plant operational equipment. Physical ability to repetitively lift 50 pounds and a strong commitment to MSHA safety regulations are required.

Covia is looking for a dynamic Bagger who will have a positive impact on the Operations team at its Elco, IL location. The Bagger is accountable to ensure the safe and productive operation of the plant packaging processes and must possess aptitude for multiple disciplines and be proficient in the operation of equipment associated with all functional areas within the plant. The Bagger may also backfill other operator positions within the plant for planned and unplanned absences and also assist the maintenance crew as required.
