The screener is responsible for inspecting cargo, crates, and containers using x-ray machines and explosive trace detection to prevent unauthorized materials from entering aircraft. They must also maintain accurate reports and records while communicating effectively with supervisors.
Candidates must possess a PERC card and have prior cargo screening or handling experience. A high school diploma or G.E.D. is required, along with the ability to pass extensive background checks and drug screenings.
