The Role

This role is responsible for the procurement, expediting and contract management of equipment and materials in a timely and cost-effective manner and in accordance with company policy.

This is a full-time 12-month fixed term contract based in our Perth Office, with the potential for extension.

 

Key Responsibilities 
•    Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with suppliers and contractors. 
•    Prepare business cases and recommendations for contract award approvals. 
•    Manage contract administration, including claims, variations and extensions. 
•    Oversee the full contract lifecycle from tendering through to close-out. 
•    Develop tender documentation and support sourcing activities. 
•    Partner with legal and finance teams to achieve commercial outcomes. 
•    Provide expert contract advice to internal stakeholders and project teams. 
•    Develop and maintain effective contract governance frameworks. 
•    Monitor contract performance, KPIs, risks and supplier obligations. 
•    Drive stakeholder engagement and best-practice contract management. 
•    Facilitate tender evaluations in line with governance requirements. 
•    Maintain accurate contract records and contract registers.

Role Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree in commerce, supply chain or engineering is preferred
•    Valid driver’s licence
•    CIPS Qualification (highly regarded)
•    Minimum 7 years’ experience in purchasing and supply chain, preferably within the mining and resources industry. 
•    Minimum of 5 years’ experience with major project contracting processes.
•    Experience in using legally established professional and transparent procurement policies and procedures in accordance with Australian legislation and regulations.
•    International experience, particularly in multi-national and international organisations (desirable).
•    Experience in category management, procurement and purchasing contracts.
•    Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, coupled with a high level of professional judgement and discretion.
•    Demonstrated tender and contract negotiation skills.
