The General Operative will perform general maintenance, minor repairs, and property preparation across residential housing stock. They will also assist with property inspections, support contractors, and ensure all work complies with health and safety standards.
Candidates must have proven experience in general maintenance or caretaking and possess practical skills in basic trades such as carpentry and plumbing. A full clean driving license and the willingness to travel throughout the Leinster region are essential requirements.

Co-operative Housing Ireland (CHI) is the national organisation representing, promoting and developing co-operative housing in Ireland. Since our foundation in 1973 we have provided over 5,700 homes through homeownership, shared ownership and social rented co-operatives. As an Approved Housing Body (AHB), we work with various stakeholders in the housing sector, including Local Authorities, Government, aspiring homeowners, tenants and developers. We currently manage over 6,708 properties across Ireland.
ROLE OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a General Operative to join our team based in our Blanchardstown office, with regular travel throughout the Leinster region. This is a hands-on role supporting the upkeep, maintenance, and presentation of our housing stock.
