Under general supervision, coordinates and performs a variety of administrative, medical secretarial and/or operational support duties for a specified physician practice/office or clinical care center. Cross-trained in both front and back office job functions and fills-in for any position as directed by Office Manager. Utilizes some judgement to interpret departmental policy to resolve routine to complex inquiries or problems. May also complete charge entry, batch bills on a daily basis, and the resolve a variety of related data/information issues. Prepares a wide range of documents; composes, edits and proofreads correspondence & reports; creates and maintains spreadsheets; maintains databases and produces reports; establishes and maintains filing systems. Edits and proofreads documents to ensure accuracy. Duties require a range of skills, working knowledge of practice/office routines, an understanding of the organization, programs, billing procedures and terminology related to the physician practice/office. Reports to an Office Manager.
