The Miner 1 is responsible for face preparation, mark-up, and the operation of heavy mining equipment such as electric hydraulic jumbos and LHDs. They must also perform equipment maintenance, monitor operational processes, and maintain accurate daily logs and reports.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in underground cut/fill operations and possess a valid BC Underground Blasting Ticket. A valid Class 3 driver's license with air endorsement and the physical fitness to work in a remote mining environment are also required.

Operating in a Northern British Columbia mining environment on a two week in/two week out shift rotation, the Miner 1 is an integral part of the mine operations at the Silvertip Mine. Solid work ethics, regular attendance, and punctuality are essential requirements for this position.
