We are looking for a Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer to join our team.

Summary: Provide engineering support to all manufacturing and assembly areas within our highly automated, state-of-the-art facility.
Provide engineering support in the design and layout of manufacturing equipment, assembly automation and downstream equipment.
Troubleshoot manufacturing equipment: (automation, robotics, fixtures, testers-air/water, spin welder, ultrasonic welder, hot-plate bonder, melt blown, etc.)
Work with established machine integrators to manage all aspects of large automation projects: concept through completion.
Source out vendors and purchase necessary equipment, components, and replacement parts for production areas.
Manage installation and setup of new equipment and train others in the operations and maintenance.
Using Solidworks, design small machines, fixtures, tooling, and machine components.
Effectively create reverse-engineered designs of legacy equipment and tooling.
Recommend and implement methods for improving process efficiencies, product quality and reducing manufacturing costs.
Prepare and present cost estimates and project plan proposals.
Create and maintain records, documents and schematics for equipment and systems using CMMS and PDM.
Work with product engineering group to create manufacturing plans for new products and improve existing.
Keep informed on new technology trends.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 5-7 years of related work experience in supporting manufacturing.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude along with the ability to read, analyze and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
Experience designing complex parts and assemblies using Solidworks
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from staff.
Ability to collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems and ability to operate various manufacturing equipment.
Previous project management experience.
Able to effectively work within Windows Suite, CMMS and ERP systems.
Able to operate machine shop equipment and work with hand tools.
Self-starter. Able to work independently with multiple projects and gain closure.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Extended standing and sitting. Able to work around equipment and in tight spaces. Able to climb equipment as necessary. Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. Lift up to 25 pounds frequently. Wears and maintains the necessary personal protective equipment.
