The Flight Dispatcher is responsible for preparing flight plans, conducting crew briefings, and monitoring all flight activities. They must also manage flight re-routing, cancellations, and ensure accurate record-keeping and weather analysis.
Candidates must hold a current FAA Dispatcher License and have a high school diploma with proficiency in English, Mathematics, and Geography. The role requires 1-3 years of aviation experience and the ability to work under pressure in a roster-based environment.

Summary of key responsibilities:
§ Consulting and collaborating with all departments on flight activities
§ Monitoring
of flights,
delaying, re-routing, consolidating or cancelling and substituting
equipment on flights
§ Flight preparation and Crew Briefings (including filing of ATC Flight Plans)
§ Weather forecasting,
route analysis, calculation of fuel and payload capabilities
§ Record keeping, flight logs and
associated manuals
§ Developing and
publishing Aircraft Routings
§ Providing Operations Control
and Flight Watch for other airlines as directed
Qualifications, skills and experience:
Essential
§ High School
Graduate with O’
Level or the equivalent in English, Mathematics and
Geography
§ Must possess a current FAA Dispatcher License
§ Aviation, 1-3 basic position related
knowledge
§ Computer literate with
excellent numeracy skills
§ Must be able to work well under pressure both independently and
as a team
§ Demonstrate good customer service
internally and externally
§ Able to remain calm and focused under pressure and in emergencies situations
§ Excellent communication skills orally and in writing
§ Must be prepared to be notified at the last minute of irregularities in reporting for
duty
§ Able to work on a roster basis including weekends, early mornings, late nights and public
holidays
