Role Description & Key responsibilities:

Support treasury operations by executing and monitoring transactions, ensuring timely settlement, reconciliation, and compliance across multiple currencies and locations. Contribute to reporting, process improvements, and documentation. The role reports to the Head of Accounting & Tax with a dotted line to Group Treasury. 

 

Treasury Operations and Settlement 

• Execute daily treasury back-office activities within agreed deadlines and procedures 
• Monitor transactions end-to-end (instruction, confirmation, settlement, reconciliation) 
• Manage trade confirmations and resolve discrepancies 
• Verify and process invoices for payments, intercompany transfers, deposits, and hedging transactions 
• Investigate and resolve settlement issues with internal teams and external stakeholders
• Maintain and validate Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI), including callbacks 
• Support collateral management and margin calls 

 

Cash and Accounting Controls 

• Perform daily reconciliation of bank accounts and cash positions 
• Monitor balances and ensure proper recording in SAP and treasury systems 
• Track mark-to-market, interest accruals, and accounting inputs 
• Support month-end and year-end closing including audit processes 
• Liaise with auditors and manage bank confirmations
• Perform accounting entries concerning banking and treasury activities in SAP

 

 

 Systems, Reporting and Compliance 

• Use treasury systems and SWIFT infrastructure (MT and ISO 20022 messages) 
• Support EMIR and ISDA reporting and validate counterparty data 
• Contribute to treasury transformation initiatives and system improvements 
• Maintain procedures, policies, and documentation 
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders like Treasury, Accounting, banks, and counterparties 
• Communicate transaction status and resolve issues 

 

Other 

• Perform ad hoc tasks and support continuous improvement 
• Maintain professional knowledge through training 

 

Essential requirements for the position:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent experience 
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in treasury operations or back-office functions 
• Knowledge in basic General Accounting is mandatory
• Basic knowledge of IFRS 9 is required
• SAP knowledge and any experience in a treasury tool is considered as an advantage
• Strong knowledge of derivatives and hedging instruments 
• Solid understanding of SWIFT messaging and payment flows 
• Experience with treasury systems and bank connectivity projects is an advantage 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines 
• Good communication and documentation skills 
• Proficiency in Excel 
• Fluent in English; additional languages are an advantage 
• Reliable team player, detail-oriented and hands-on, with a structured approach
