Develop and implement play-based learning programs for children aged 0-5 to promote intellectual, physical, and emotional growth. Maintain positive relationships with families and contribute to the continuous improvement of the early years curriculum.
Requires BC Early Childhood Education and ECE IT certificates, along with First Aid, CPR, and TB clearance. A clear criminal record check and experience working with children in inclusive settings are mandatory.
Early Childhood Educators work in a dynamic team environment. They work with children between the ages of 0 -5 to provide a caring and stimulating environment which promotes intellectual, physical and emotional growth. At BACI, Early Childhood Educators ensure inclusion for all the children at the centre as they plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for the children.
Location: Burnaby, BC
This position is open to all applicants and requires union membership. The successful applicant will be required to have a Criminal Record Search and Driver’s License Search completed and reviewed by the Executive Director.

With our 4 integrated child care centres and Infant Development Program, we support over 400 children of all abilities in Burnaby to learn and play together, and develop to their full potential. Our Youth Program partners with Burnaby community centres and libraries to promote inclusion – finding and creating opportunities for people of all abilities to meet new people, connect, and be more active in their community. BACI continues to seek out opportunities to increase social awareness and effect change in the way individuals of all abilities are included in our society.
