What You'll Be Doing
The State Sales Manager is responsible for leading the state sales strategy, driving revenue growth, developing customer relationships and managing a team of Key Account Managers. This role is instrumental in achieving sales and profitability objectives while contributing to the long-term success of the business.

Sales Leadership & Strategy: Develop and execute state sales strategies to achieve sales, margin and growth targets. Establish measurable KPIs and performance expectations for the sales team.
Team Leadership & Development: Lead, coach and develop a team of Key Account Managers, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer success and business growth.
Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities while driving growth within existing customer accounts across retail, foodservice and HORECA channels.
Key Account Management: Maintain strong relationships with key corporate, HORECA and independent retail customers. Spend time in market supporting customer engagement and identifying growth opportunities.
Commercial & Financial Management: Manage promotional budgets, discounts, samples and sales expenditure. Execute pricing strategies and ensure achievement of gross margin objectives.
Sales & Operations Planning: Contribute to the S&OP process through accurate sales forecasting, helping minimise lost sales, overstocks and product wastage.
New Product Development: Partner with the National Category Team to support new product launches and successful market execution.
Supplier & Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain strong strategic relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support business objectives.

What You'll Bring
Proven experience in a Sales Manager or State Sales Manager role within FMCG, foodservice or specialty food environments
Strong leadership experience managing sales teams across multiple locations
Demonstrated success achieving sales, margin and growth targets
Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse data, identify opportunities and drive results
Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
Experience managing key customer relationships and business development initiatives
Strong planning, organisation and time management skills
Ability to influence, lead change and drive continuous improvement
Intermediate Microsoft 365 skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
Current Australian driver's licence
