Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating an exceptional coffee experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining a clean and inviting café environment. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced setting and have a love for coffee and customer interaction.
Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks according to established recipes.
Operate the coffee machine and other equipment efficiently while ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders accurately, and assisting with any inquiries or special requests.
Maintain cleanliness of the café area, including tables, counters, and equipment to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
Handle cash transactions using the POS system and cash register accurately while performing basic math calculations as needed.
Assist in inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying management of low inventory levels.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and an understanding of various coffee types is preferred.
Familiarity with retail math concepts to assist in cash handling and inventory management.
Experience operating POS systems or cash registers is advantageous.
Basic math skills for accurate order processing and cash handling.
Previous experience in the food industry is beneficial but not required.
Commitment to food safety practices to ensure the health and satisfaction of our customers.

Job Type: Part-time
Expected Availability: 3 to 5 shifts per week. Our morning shifts are 6:45am-1pm. Afternoon shifts are 1pm - 6:15pm. Must be able to work mornings or afternoons. Saturday availability is a must. We are closed on Sundays.
Pay: From $10.00 per hour plus tips, which average $4-$5 per hour.
