The Production Assistant manages the full order fulfillment process, including weighing green coffee, roasting, and packaging. Additional duties include performing quality control tastings, maintaining equipment, and delivering orders to wholesale accounts.
Candidates must have a valid driver's license and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly. A passion for coffee, strong organizational skills, and a positive, team-oriented mindset are required.

FT: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm
PT: Tuesday-Thursday. 8:30am-4:30pm
Requirements:

-Weigh batches for daily roasting
-Roast coffee to Boxcar's strict standards
-Produce Boxcar's kegged cold brewed coffee
-Package and ship coffee orders
-Deliver orders to wholesale accounts across the Front Range on a weekly delivery route
-Maintain coffee roasting machines
-Set up and participate in regular cuppings
-Maintain a clean and organized roastery space
-Take on other tasks and duties as assigned

Boxcar was started in 2010 by husband and wife team, Vajra and Cara Rich, with the goal of building a world class roasting company in their small hometown of Boulder, Colorado. After starting as a stand alone Roastery and building a small following by partnering with some amazing local restaurants and cafes, we opened the doors to our first cafe on the sleepy east end of Pearl St. in downtown Boulder, allowing us to showcase our coffees in an elevated and forward thinking way. Since its inception, Boxcar has grown to a team of 25 amazing coffee professionals. Our spaces include a busy cafe and bakery in downtown Boulder, and a dedicated Roastery and training lab that serves numerous wholesale accounts all across Colorado.
