The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for preparing pharmaceuticals, managing inventory, and performing financial transactions while maintaining accurate pharmacy records. They work within an interdisciplinary team to verify prescriptions and provide medication education to patients.
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma or GED and hold a valid ExCPT or PTCB certification along with State Board of Pharmacy registration. Previous experience in a retail, hospital, or outpatient pharmacy setting is preferred.

The Certified Pharmacy Technician is responsible for providing pharmacy services, including, but not limited to preparing pharmaceuticals, performing inventory control, compliance audits, and financial transactions, providing customer service, and maintaining pharmacy records. The Certified Pharmacy Technician works as part of an interdisciplinary patient care team, and under the direction of the Pharmacist.
