The role focuses on helping families overcome barriers to ensure children and young people achieve positive outcomes in learning and school attendance. The worker will engage families with various services to address a wide range of complex needs.
Candidates must have experience working with vulnerable children and young people using a whole family approach. Ability to manage a client caseload and the right to work in the UK are essential.
The priority for the Schools Family Support Worker is to ensure that families are helped to overcome barriers which prevent children, young people and family members in achieving positive outcomes. This is particularly in relation to service users overcoming barriers which prevent or reduce engagement with learning and attendance at school as well as engaging with other services to address a wide range of needs that the family may present with.
We are looking for someone with experience of working with vulnerable children and young people. They will also have experience of working within a whole family approach as well as the skills to manage a client caseload.
This is a fixed term contract role until 01/08/2027.
