General Summary

The Accounting Officer II for (A/L Rep/Investments) will perform highly specialized clerical duties in support of the Bank's investment functions. Requires judgment and decisions based on experience and knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Work under minimum supervision.

  

CATEGORY OF ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & TASKS

  

Manage the Relationship:

•

Effectively communicates & engages with internal partners including CFO staff, management, branch operations & support personnel.

•

Be open to cross-training, collaborating and supporting fellow co-workers with tasks to help meet the needs of the business.

  

Manage the Experience:

•

Demonstrate brand behaviors through daily interactions with internal and external customers.

•

Represent the CFO department & the Bank in Bank sponsored events and community outreach programs

  

Manage the Business/Transactions:

•

Prepare the daily rate sheet prior to the start of Branch operating hours.

•

Prepare the daily liquidity/daily cash position report and supporting schedules each morning.

•

Prepare and distribute investment instructions to the Bank’s brokers and safekeeping account locations as needed before the close of business.

•

Prepare and complete investment-related journal entries as needed before the close of business.

•

Prepare the Resources and Liabilities report weekly and at each month-end.

•

Prepare the Ledger Balance Verification report each week and at each month-end.

•

Prepare all investment reconciliation reports each month (Investment Reports vs. GL, Broker Statements vs. GL, Unrealized Gain/(Loss), and Prepaid Interest).

•

Prepare the Interbranch Demand analysis journal entries each month.

•

Prepare and distribute the Bank’s investment reports each month.

•

Prepare the investment wires report for submission to the BSA Department monthly.

•

Prepare the A/L Backtest report quarterly.

•

Prepare the investment Pledge Letters quarterly.

•

Prepare the Analysis of Loans and Deposits report quarterly.

•

Prepare the Regulation-F report for submission to the Loan Committee quarterly.

•

Prepare the ALCO minutes quarterly.

•

Complete the FINRA Broker Check quarterly.

•

Prepare the FAS107 report annually as of year-end.

•

Prepare, create and organize files for daily journal entries processed by the investment section of the CFO Department.

•

Other duties assigned.

  

Manage the Risk:

•

Uphold and practice all the policies and procedures embodied in the Uniform Procedures Manual (UPM), memorandums, circular and other communications applicable to your duties and responsibilities.

•

Complete all bank mandated training.

  

What You Bring:

•

Intermediate-level computer skills in Microsoft excel, Microsoft word, PowerPoint, etc.

•

Ability to read and interpret basic financial reports and related documents, including policy and procedure manuals.

•

Has the ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

•

Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

•

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

•

Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to management, brokers, and auditors.

•

Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

  

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in accounting

High School Diploma

Work Experience:

2 years accounting experience or finance related field with a bachelor's degree 

6 years accounting experience or finance related field with a high school diploma
