Position Summary:
Under the direction of the Marketing Director, the Senior Marketing Specialist will assist in the creation and coordination of marketing and community relations materials and activities in support of the bank's strategic goals.
Primary Functional Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
1. Manage the bank's charitable giving program, including the processing of requests, gathering additional information as needed, communicating decisions, recording payments, and producing summaries and presentations for senior leadership.
2. Provide graphic design and creative support for marketing and community relations activities, utilizing design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and similar applications.
3. Draft and develop social media posts and post templates while adhering to corporate and brand standards, in order to engage customers and communities and to advance the bank's strategic objectives.
4. Coordinate the bank's participation in offsite events and sponsorships, such as town days, road races and street fairs. Promote volunteer opportunities internally, secure staffing and entertainment, coordinate transportation (corporate van or otherwise), gather and organize event materials, and communicate clearly with staff and hosting organizations. The Senior Marketing Specialist is not required to participate in all offsite events, but they will be expected to participate in a minimum of one event per year.
5. Manage inventory of gifts and giveaway items, placing orders as needed to replenish stock. Maintain stockroom by keeping area well-organized and clean.
6. Develop and update flyers and other point-of-sale promotional materials.
7. Supports direct marketing initiatives (mail & email) utilizing applications such as Constant Contact. Manage biweekly reconciliation of email opt-outs across platforms.
8. Occasional travel to local branches to deliver/install marketing pieces, and to charitable giving recipients' offices to deliver checks and help Marketing Director with publicity photos.
9. Assist in the coordination and planning of annual employee recognition event.
10. Maintain areas of the corporate website using content management system tool.
11. Research and propose specific professional development seminars/classes to acquire additional skills relevant to the position and gain deeper industry knowledge.
12. Follow all required Compliance review and approval protocols when developing and distributing new material.
13. Perform other marketing and community relations activities as needed and complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications at entry:
Education/Experience:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent, with a minimum of 2-4 years of professional marketing experience, preferably in banking and/or financial services. Prior experience with graphic design applications and social media business page management is preferred.

• Strong interpersonal skills when interacting with employees from all levels of the organization as well as outside vendors and partners.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changes in processes and priorities.
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (i.e., InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office. Proficiency in MS Excel a plus.
