Position Overview: 

The Level 2 – Level 3 Field Services Technician will report directly to the Global Program Director. In this role, the Level 2 – Level 3 Field Services Technician’s key responsibility is to perform in-warranty, end-user computer hardware breakfix repairs and replacements. The individual will need to have knowledge of operating systems, computer hardware and peripherals (preferably Dell), including but not limited to screens, motherboards, hard drives, etc., as well as networking and server systems. The technician will perform high-end storage in some capacity. 

Hours and Location:

 

This is a full-time position primarily aligned to 8:00am to 6:00pm EST hours. Occasional calls and meeting attendance off-hours may be required to adhere to global client time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, research, and troubleshoot computer operating system issues (Hardware, Server, iDRAC, other hardware peripherals).
• Respond promptly and professionally to alerts and end-user IT issues.
• Update the internal ticket coordination team and internal ticket mobile application with ticket status information for purposes of demonstrating compliance with issue response and resolution, logging daily activities and documenting solutions.
• Repair and replace parts in desktops, laptops, virtual machines, servers, back-up systems, high-end storage, and miscellaneous devices.
• Pick-up repair parts at local pick-up location, return defective parts to local drop-off location.
• Function as primary point of contact and communication with end-customer from the day of dispatch of the ticket to the successful resolution of issue.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Driver’s license and personal vehicle with the ability to travel within a daily radius to pick-up parts at designated pick-up and drop-off locations and to support various end-clients.
• Must have a high school diploma.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• Strong knowledge and experience with computer/server hardware and software troubleshooting (experience on DELL hardware and servers is preferred).
• Proven experience with high-end storage and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with enterprise distributed systems and high-end arrays.
• Demonstration of punctuality and strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multi-task and to work under limited supervision. 
• US citizenship required (Passport, REAL ID, or Passport Card).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background with servers and high-end storage/EMC (Dell) is highly preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting Active Directory, TCP/IP networks, and common PC systems, Microsoft Exchange and Office 365 are preferred.
• College or technical degree preferred.
• TS Clearance highly preferred but not required. 

Years of Experience Required: 

    

    •  Minimum 4-5 years’ experience with hands-on IT support troubleshooting PCs/laptops and servers. Experience with high-end storage preferred.

Certifications or Licenses

    •  CompTIA certifications in A+, Network+ or Security + are preferred. Equivalent experience must be shown in lieu of an A+ certification, DCE in enterprise storage platforms preferred.

Travel Requirements
    •    If applying to the Seoul location must be willing to travel daily primarily within the Seoul area. Ad-hoc travel outside of Seoul will be required on occasion.

    • If applying to the Daegu location must be willing to travel daily primarily within the Daegu area. Ad-hoc travel outside of Daegu will be required on occasion.
