We are recruiting Painting Apprentices on behalf of our members to join their growing teams.
If you have an eye for detail and enjoy work
that delivers visible results, this is a great opportunity to build a
rewarding career in the painting and decorating industry. Working
alongside qualified and skilled painters, you will gain
valuable hands-on experience, mentoring, and ongoing support
throughout your apprenticeship.
About the Role
As a Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:
Carrying out measurements and basic calculations
Reading and interpreting plans and specifications
Erecting and maintaining trestle and plank systems
Handling painting and decorating materials
Using painting and decorating tools and equipment
Removing and replacing doors, windows, and components
Preparing surfaces for painting
Applying paint using brushes and rollers
Applying textured coating finishes by brush, roller,
and spray
Requirements
About You
The successful candidate will have:
A genuine interest in undertaking a Painting
Apprenticeship
A White Card, or the ability to obtain one ASAP
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
A willingness to learn and work as part of a team
A positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
The ability to follow instructions and take direction
Trustworthiness and motivation
Preferred (but not essential):
A current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Previous painting or construction-related work
experience an advantage

Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold an eligible visa with
