The apprentice will prepare surfaces and apply paint and textured coatings using various tools and techniques. Responsibilities also include reading specifications, performing basic calculations, and maintaining equipment like trestle systems.
Candidates must have a genuine interest in painting, physical fitness for manual labor, and a White Card or the ability to obtain one. Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid working visa is required.

skilled painters, you will gain valuable hands-on experience,
mentoring, and ongoing support throughout your
apprenticeship.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a
Painting Apprentice, your duties will include:
Carrying
out measurements and basic calculations
Reading
and interpreting plans and specifications
Erecting
and maintaining trestle and plank systems
Handling
painting and decorating materials
Using
painting and decorating tools and equipment
Removing
and replacing doors, windows, and components
Preparing
surfaces for painting
Applying
paint using brushes and rollers
Applying
textured coating finishes by brush, roller, and spray
ABOUT YOU
The
successful candidate will have:
A
genuine interest in undertaking a Painting Apprenticeship
A
White Card, or the ability to obtain one as soon as
possible
Physical
fitness and the ability to perform manual labour
A
willingness to learn and work as part of a team
A
positive attitude, reliability, and strong work ethic
The
ability to follow instructions and take direction
Trustworthiness
and motivation
Preferred (but not essential):
A
current driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
Previous
painting or construction-related work experience
