Position Overview
The Senior Supply Chain Manager is the operational owner of Atlas Coffee Club’s end-to-end supply chain strategy and execution. This role is responsible for ensuring the company maintains an efficient, scalable, and cost-effective supply chain across sourcing, procurement, inventory management, production planning, logistics, fulfillment support, supplier management, and transportation.
Core Responsibilities
- Supply Chain Ownership & Strategic Planning
- Owner of the end-to-end strategy and execution of Atlas Coffee Club’s supply chain.
- Lead and execute the company’s Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process.
- Owner of Atlas' monthly S&OP process. Lead monthly Demand Review, Supply Review, Inventory Review, operational constraints, capacity planning, and production plan meeting with COO and Supply Chain Sr Analyst.
- Translate projections into actionable purchasing and production plans.
- Ensure the Production Manager has a clear, efficient, and accurate production schedule based on subscription kit projections, inventory availability, and Amazon FBA demand.
- Own the production planning process. Translate demand forecasts into purchasing plans and production plans. Production Manager owns labor scheduling and execution.
- Develop and implement scalable supply chain processes that support continued growth.
- Support all supply chain related initiatives tied to new product launches, operational expansion, automation projects, and strategic business initiatives.
Production Planning & Operational Efficiency
- Responsible for implementing systems and workflows that convert Shopify order demand into a clear and actionable production plan.
- Develop and maintain a monthly finished goods build-ahead process designed to unlock operational efficiencies while minimizing inventory exposure and overproduction risk.
- Work closely with the Production Manager to improve production scheduling efficiency, labor utilization, inventory staging, and throughput planning.
- Develop inventory allocation plans across D2C, Amazon FBA, and wholesale channels.
- Own inventory policy, safety stock strategy, inventory turns, and excess & obsolete inventory reduction plan.
- Host a Q3 1-day off site holiday planning session with COO, Director of Green Coffee, Production Manager & Supply Chain Sr Analyst to present a clear and detailed fulfillment plan. This should include kit projections with probable growth, seasonal team members required, split shifts, cross training required, temporary storage solutions, & achievable contingency plan.
Supplier Management & Strategic Sourcing
- Owner of all supplier relationships outside of green coffee procurement.
- Source, vet, negotiate, and onboard new suppliers while ensuring all critical materials have contingency suppliers in place.
- Conduct quarterly supplier audits to mitigate supply disruption risks.
- Conduct quarterly pricing audits across all vendors and suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and service agreements with suppliers.
- Conduct bi-annual packaging and supplies audits to ensure Atlas is purchasing the best value materials that meet operational, product quality, and team member requirements.
- Build strategic supplier partnerships focused on cost optimization, quality improvement, and operational reliability.
- Own purchasing strategy for all materials excluding green coffee contracting. Approve all PO commitments and manage supplier risk.
Green Coffee Logistics & Coordination
- Communicate upcoming roasted coffee needs for production with the Production Manager & Director of Green Coffee in weekly green coffee release meeting
- Once green coffee demand quantities and release dates are established, manage inbound logistics execution to ensure coffee arrives onsite in compliance with Atlas’ inventory and production planning requirements.
- Coordinate freight scheduling with importers, carriers, warehouses, and transportation providers.
Logistics, Transportation & Carrier Management
- Owner of all parcel carrier relationships and annual carrier negotiations.
- Conduct annual freight and parcel RFPs to ensure Atlas is receiving competitive rates.
- Monitor parcel carrier performance to ensure Atlas achieves or exceeds its 4-day delivery speed target after parcel injection and escalate service failures as necessary.
- Partner with carriers and logistics providers to optimize shipping costs, delivery speed, and operational reliability.
Inventory Management & ERP Ownership
- End-to-end owner of inventory management processes across raw materials, green coffee, packaging, and finished goods including turns, aging inventory, excess inventory, safety stock, and stockout risk.
- Oversee and accountable for the success of monthly inventory audits in partnership with Finance, Operations, and Green Coffee leadership and resolving inventory variances.
- Lead monthly Green coffee inventory review meetings with the Director of Green Coffee, Supply Chain Sr Analyst, & Sr Manager of Finance & Accounting prior to inventory batch sheets being distributed.
- Ensure all BOM’s are properly created, maintained, and updated within Unleashed ERP.
- Maintain a rolling 24‑month capacity model and recommend equipment additions and warehouse expansion requirements.
- Partner directly with Atlas’ system developers to ensure inventory synchronization between Shopify, Unleashed, and operational systems is functioning properly.
- Drive continuous improvements in inventory accuracy, traceability, and reporting.
Amazon FBA & Co-Manufacturing Management
- Meet regularly with the Director of Platforms and Production Manager to align Amazon demand forecasts and inventory planning.
- Manage co-manufacturer relationships and ensure co-manufactured products meet Atlas’ quality, production, delivery standards and delivery timelines.
- Ensure raw materials and roasted coffee are allocated for the Production Manager.
Analytics, Reporting & Continuous Improvement
- Develop and maintain supply chain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting.
- Track and report metrics related to inventory accuracy, fill rates, supplier performance, freight costs, production attainment, and service levels.
- Identify opportunities for automation, cost reduction, and operational scalability.
- Support long-term operational planning through data analysis and forecasting.
- Develop processes and reporting tools that improve visibility across Atlas’ supply chain.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration, or related field required.
- 5+ years of progressive supply chain, procurement, logistics, inventory planning, or operations experience.
- Experience within D2C ecommerce, food manufacturing, subscription commerce, consumer packaged goods, or vertically integrated operations strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of S&OP, inventory planning, forecasting, procurement, logistics, and supplier management.
- Experience managing ERP systems and inventory management software; Unleashed ERP experience preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel / Google Sheets and data analysis.
- Strong analytical, negotiation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong leadership and cross-functional communication skills.

Salary
$120,000 - $130,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
