Als Ontwerpleider Waterbouwkundige Kunstwerken ben jij verantwoordelijk voor het integraal ontwerp van cruciale waterbouwkundige objecten, zoals gemalen, stuwen, duikers, inlaat- en aflaatwerken, vispassages, havenconstructies en overige niet‑waterkerende kunstwerken. Je werkt aan projecten die bijdragen aan waterveiligheid, waterbeheer, klimaatrobuustheid en de vervangings‑ en renovatieopgave van Nederland. Je leidt multidisciplinaire ontwerpteams en vormt de inhoudelijke spil tussen opdrachtgever, ontwerpdiscipline(s), assetmanagers, omgevingsspecialisten en uitvoerende partijen. Vanaf de initiatiefase tot aan uitvoeringsontwerp stuur je op kwaliteit, maakbaarheid, integraliteit en veiligheid.

Leid je en coördineer je integrale ontwerpprocessen voor waterbouwkundige kunstwerken, waarin civiele techniek, geotechniek, werktuigbouwkunde, elektrotechniek, besturingstechniek, hydraulica en duurzaamheid samenkomen.
Vanuit je inhoudelijke rol in projecten een strategische relatie opbouwt met opdrachtgevers
Onderhoud je contact met opdrachtgevers, stakeholders en beheerders, en licht ontwerpkeuzes overtuigend toe
Zet je ontwerpstrategie en ontwerpkeuzes uit, inclusief systeemintegratie, validatie en verificatie volgens SE‑methodiek.
Borg je eisenbeheer, raakvlakken, risico’s en ontwerpbesluiten binnen het SE‑proces en stuurt jouw ontwerpteam daar actief op aan
Werk je aan nieuwbouw, renovatie en vervanging, waaronder beoordelingen van bestaande kunstwerken, restlevensduuronderzoek, faalmechanismen, hydraulische en constructieve analyses, en het opstellen van versterkings‑ of vervangingsstrategieën.
Coördineer je multidisciplinaire teams op het gebied van civiel, WTB, E/IA, geotechniek, BIM, kosten en contract.
Vertaal je technische inhoud naar contractdocumenten (UAV‑GC, RAW) en lever je input voor contractvoorbereiding, tenders en aanbestedingen.
Stimuleer je kennisdeling en innovatie, o.a. rondom duurzaamheid, circulariteit, digital twins, parametrisch ontwerpen en automatisering van ontwerpprocessen
Je bent een verbindende, analytisch sterke ontwerpleider met:
Een afgeronde HBO/WO‑opleiding civiele techniek, waterbouwkunde of vergelijkbaar
7+ jaar ervaring in ontwerpen, beoordeling en/of uitvoering van waterbouwkundige kunstwerken, zoals gemalen, stuwen, sluizen, duikers en hydraulische objecten.
Kennis van geotechniek, beton‑ en staalconstructies, hydraulica, werktuigbouwkundige componenten en faalmechanismen van natte kunstwerken binnen de context van zowel nieuwbouw als vervangingsopgave
Ervaring met Systems Engineering (SE), RAMS, risicobeheersing, objectbeoordeling, V&R‑strategieën en relevante leidraden/ontwerprichtlijnen.
Ervaring met contractvormen zoals UAV‑GC, RAW en het leveren van inhoudelijke input op tenders en contractdocumenten. Een sterke visie op integrale samenwerking en ervaring met het aansturen van ontwerpteams Ervaring met BIM, 3D‑modellering, parametrisch ontwerp en digitale ontwerpplatformen is een pré.
Uitstekende beheersing van de Nederlandse én Engelse taal.
