The Senior Civil Engineer will lead the delivery of technical work elements and design activities for large UK substation projects. They are responsible for client liaison, preparing design calculations, and providing technical mentorship to junior team members.
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in civil and structural engineering, with at least 2 years specifically in transmission and distribution projects up to 400kV. A Master's degree in civil engineering is preferred, along with proficiency in industry-standard design software.

The electricity transmission and distribution networks in the UK are currently undergoing major upgrading to meet future demand. As part of the Resilience team, Arcadis is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer with a minimum of 5 years proven combined experience in civil and structural engineering projects, of which a minimum of 2 years should have been directly working on transmission and distribution projects up to 400kV.
This position involves liaison with other technical teams, in both local and overseas locations, to deliver design of large UK substation projects.
This position involves management of workload of teams based in Glasgow and at various GEC locations in India.
Reporting to the Associate Technical Director/Technical Director, you will be responsible for the Delivery of allocated technical work elements and design activities for preparation of outline & detailed design drawings and other associated construction-ready documentation, all in accordance with the Company’s quality, safety and project management/engineering procedures and controls
