Maintain and troubleshoot all systems within the thermoforming department, including material feed, water, and compressed air systems. Coordinate with operators and perform preventive maintenance tasks as directed by the supervisor.
Requires a high school degree and a background in industrial maintenance with familiarity in electrical systems and servo motors. Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints is a plus.
Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to the following:
• Under the direction of the maintenance supervisor, maintain and troubleshoot all systems within the thermoforming department, including material feed system (blender, vacuum loading system, mixers, surge bins, etc), process and chilled water systems (cooling tower and pump tank, chiller and chilled water pump tank), compressed air system, extrusion line, thermoforming line(s) (including trim press), primary and secondary grinders (including evacuation systems), and all support systems utilized in the department.
• Coordinate with and assist operators who are utilized to perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Perform tasks as directed by the PM (Preventive Maintenance) system, and as assigned by the maintenance supervisor.
• Assist the maintenance supervisor in maintaining an appropriate and adequate supply of spare parts to support all systems within the department, and assist in restocking of parts as needed.
• Assist in the maintenance of thermoforming tooling to include form tools, trim tools and all associated change parts. This includes regular cleaning, and minor repair of damage.
Qualifications/Education/Special Skills
• High School Degree or equivalent
• Background in Industrial Maintenance
• Familiarity with electrical systems/components
• Familiarity with servo drives/motors
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic prints and schematics a plus
• Prior experience with electrical systems (both AC and DC) in voltage ranging up to 480V
