General Purpose

The Community Outreach Administrative Assistant performs diversified duties following standard procedures which includes being involved with the daily administrative and community outreach operations of our regional team in Mesa County.  

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Assists in communication projects that may include public relations, customer contact, and event management, as directed.
  • Supports engagement with local non-profit community organizations to help in sponsoring and organizing events.
  • Assists with event planning, to include, but not limited to, creating invitations, arrangements for the event, supporting vendors, and advertising.
  • Assists in creating brand awareness and campaign implementation.
  • Performs duties as needed for meeting setup, scheduling, and reservations of teams.
  • Assists with calls regarding community outreach partnerships.
  • Reviews, verifies, and routes invoices and expenses for proper approval and payment.  
  • Schedules and performs pick-ups and deliveries of marketing related items for events.
  • Assists with preparation of events including planning, set up and tear down, and attending the event as a representative of Alpine Bank.
  • Assists with idea creation for marketing and community outreach. 
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance is required as an essential function of this job. 
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Strong administrative and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with PCs, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, to include proofreading and editing.
  • Is detail orientated, able to multi-task and able to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to communicate and collaborate with community and team members to ensure superior results and community/team success.
  • Performs well with minimal supervision, looks for improvement opportunities and presents those ideas to management.
  • Understanding of how to handle confidential and proprietary information.

Education or Formal Training:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Colorado Driver’s License is required. 

Experience:

  • Marketing knowledge and experience preferred but not required.
  • Previous experience in an administrative role or office management is preferred. 

Working Conditions

Working Environment:

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, and multifunction printers. Occasional evening and weekend availability may be expected.  Travel to events, meetings and branch locations on a regular basis may be necessary.

Physical Activities:

These are representative of those which must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required; it would require the ability to reach for and lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.  Employee may have to lift up to 25 pounds.
