Job Description

As a Security Officer Access Gate in Shelby Township, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech location where you will help manage access control, monitor assigned areas, and conduct routine patrols to help support a secure environment. In this role, you will remain visible, help deter security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and/or contractors by following access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and document access activity in support of security-related operations at the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that may require attention.
• Support security-related screening, package and property control, and visitor management processes to help to deter unauthorized access within a fast-paced technology-focused location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
