The Environmental Engineer is responsible for driving the company's energy and environmental strategy to achieve 2030 sustainability goals. Key duties include implementing EHS policies, managing certified management systems, and negotiating with government authorities regarding environmental permits and legislation.
Candidates must hold a BSc or MSc in Environmental education, preferably with a Green Belt certification. A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in the process or food industry is required, along with broad knowledge of environmental aspects.

Je zult de EHS-beleidslijnen uitvoeren om ervoor te zorgen dat de noodzakelijke voorwaarden voor het ondersteunen van onze bedrijfsprocessen worden gerealiseerd.
Taken & verantwoordelijkheden
Richting geven aan de strategie van het bedrijf op het gebied van energie en milieu.
Ontwikkelen en implementeren van beleidsvoorstellen op basis van sociale ontwikkelingen en wet- en regelgeving.
Adviseren van het managementteam over de impact van beleids- en jaarplannen;
Initiëren, begeleiden en eventueel uitvoeren van interne en externe audits.
Ontwikkelen en beheren van een toegankelijk (gecertificeerd) managementsysteem.
Zorgen voor up-to-date documenten en gegevens voor het management.
Identificeren van opleidingsbehoeften binnen de organisatie.
Voorstellen en uitvoeren van trainingsplannen in overleg met belanghebbenden.
Zelfstandig initiëren, beheren en uitvoeren van projecten.
Identificeren en analyseren van (potentiële) risico's.
Adviseren over en voorstellen van verbetermaatregelen om geïdentificeerde risico's te verminderen.
Rapporteren van analyseresultaten en adviseren over oplossingen om risico's te beperken.
Evaluatiecriteria:
Positieve perceptie van externe autoriteiten over de behandeling van milieu- en energiegebieden.
Kwaliteit van advies over lange- en middellangetermijnprojecten.
Periodieke beoordeling van systemen en richtlijnen.
Effectiviteit van trainingen en tijdige identificatie van relevante wetgeving.
Financiële Verantwoordelijkheden:
Vertalen van het beleidsjaarplan en bewaken/beheren van de bijbehorende budgetten.
Verantwoordelijk voor de implementatie en evaluatie na goedkeuring door het managementteam.
Impact op het Bedrijf:
Aanvragen van vergunningen i.h.v. de Omgevingswet.
Onderhandelen met overheden over de interpretatie van toepasselijke wet- en regelgeving.
Externe vertegenwoordiging van Abbott's zakelijke belangen op lokaal en regionaal niveau.
Verzorgen van en toezien op accurate rapportages aan de verschillende overheden en intern.
Kennis en Ervaring:
BSc/MSc in Milieu-educatie, bij voorkeur Green Belt gecertificeerd.
Minimaal 2-4 jaar ervaring in de proces- of voedingsmiddelenindustrie.
Communicatief veelzijdig.
Brede kennis van milieuaspecten.
