The mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing extrusion machines while monitoring operational parameters like temperature and pressure. They must also perform preventive maintenance and ensure product quality standards are met.
Candidates must possess a high school diploma or GED and have the physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and push up to 1500 lbs. Additionally, applicants are required to pass an online mechanic's test.

Maintain and repair extrusion machines, checking quality of the product. Monitor ammeter, temperature, air and water for variations. Maintain log of parts usage and preventive maintenance. Must have basic math skills for metric conversion. Use of basic hand tools, grinder, vice, parts cleaner and drill or drill press are needed as well.
