Position Summary
Resting at 7,000 feet and surrounded by the San Francisco Peaks, the scenic city of Flagstaff remains an important distribution site for large manufacturers like Nestlé Purina. Just a stone's throw from downtown, where the city's culture comes to life, we get to experience the best of both worlds: the city and the mountains. Annually, the Nestlé Purina team in Flagstaff proudly mass manufactures 280,000 tons of dry pet food from our Dog Chow®, Beneful®, Nestlé Purina ONE®, Alpo®, and Pro Plan® brands. Our factory is also proud to do our part to care for the environment, like conserving water, investing in renewable electricity and maintaining zero waste for disposal.
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for the maintenance of all plant systems including facilities, unloading, processing, packing, and warehouse operations. Troubleshoot and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment as you always work in a safe manner to enhance machine reliability and process improvements across the facility. Make an impact on our processes as you deliver vital predictive and preventative maintenance work to our machinery.
Perform maintenance activities on all plant systems including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and instrumentation.
Troubleshoot electrical controls systems including motors and PLCs.
Use test equipment such as multimeters, megohmmeters, and process simulators.
Repair gear reducers, belt and screw conveyors, chain elevators, and packaging equipment.
Maintain wastewater system, boiler operations, cooling towers, and general building needs.
Complete predictive maintenance such as vibration analysis and oil sample collection.
Requirements
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
6+ months of maintenance experience in a manufacturing, technical, warehouse, industrial, military, or related environment -OR- a 2-year technical degree completed.

Must be willing to work all shifts including nights and weekends.
The approximate hourly pay for this position is $34.17 - $48.78 per hour. The pay progression follows: Maintenance Technician T1 $34.17, Maintenance Technician T2 $37.08, Maintenance Technician T3 $40.01, Maintenance Technician T4 $42.93, Maintenance Technician T5 $45.86, Maintenance Technician T6 $48.78. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location of the position.
