Essential
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Software Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• At least 7 years demonstrated experience applying systems engineering principles on complex Defense, infrastructure, transport, or rail projects.
• Proven experience managing systems engineering outcomes through all phases of the project lifecycle.
• Proven experience leading Systems Engineering functions within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of systems assurance, hazard management, and safety-critical engineering principles.
Desirable
• Postgraduate qualification in Systems Engineering or a related discipline.
• INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
• Demonstrated capability in leveraging digital engineering, automation, and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to improve systems engineering efficiency, traceability, analysis, decision-making, and project delivery outcomes
• Knowledge of Australian rail safety accreditation frameworks.
• Experience with requirements management and systems engineering tools such as IBM DOORS, Relatics, ComplyPro, Jama, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent.
