The Workshop Access Engineer is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing the MEWP hire fleet while ensuring all LOLER inspections are accurately recorded. Additionally, the role involves preparing equipment for customers and maintaining a safe, organized workshop environment.
Candidates should possess strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics. While experience with powered access equipment is preferred, the company offers training for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities· Inspect, maintain, and repair our MEWP hire fleet
· Carry out LOLER inspections and keep accurate records
· Diagnose and repair electrical and hydraulic faults
· Clean, prepare, and rebrand equipment for customers
· Maintain a safe, tidy, and organised workshop
Essential:
· Experience or qualifications in powered access (CAP, IPAF,) preferred, however not essential for the right candidate as training offered
· Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic knowledge
· Ability to read and work with schematics
· Familiarity with a range of access equipment and manufacturers
· Practical, methodical, and hands-on approach
· Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
· Able to work independently and as part of a team
· Confident with paperwork and basic IT systems (MS Office)
· Reliable, hard-working, and detail-oriented
· Willing to learn and develop within a growing company
Desirable:
· Plant hire, forklift, or mechanical engineering industries that involve LOLER Inspections
· Maintenance and repair of lifting equipment
· Electrical/hydraulic engineering with hands-on experience
