The Automation Projects Engineer leads manufacturing automation initiatives from concept through commissioning and final handoff to operations. This role involves designing and programming industrial automation systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve productivity and process efficiency.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Automation Engineering and possess at least 3 years of experience in manufacturing automation. Proficiency in PLC/HMI programming and the ability to travel up to 60% of the time are required.

The Automation Projects Engineer plays a critical role in driving manufacturing automation initiatives across our operations. This position is responsible for leading automation projects from concept through commissioning and handoff, while supporting productivity improvements, equipment standardization, and operational excellence goals. The successful candidate will directly contribute to increased manufacturing output, process optimization, and the implementation of advanced automation technologies that support Hunter Douglas' strategic growth objectives.
