The Pre-Sales Engineer acts as a technical subject matter expert to support the sales team in solution design, account penetration, and technical demonstrations. They are responsible for managing proof of concepts, responding to RFPs, and building strong relationships with partners and customers to drive business objectives.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. The role requires 5–7 years of technical pre-sales experience with mandatory hands-on expertise in IBM products and technologies.
The Pre-Sales Engineer is accountable for advising and coordinating with the Sales team on all technical issues related but not limited to account penetration strategies, pre-sales implementations, solution design and training. S/He is a technical expert building strong relationships with partners and customers and driving the business through multiple technical initiatives.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or any other related field.
5–7 years of experience in technical pre-sales, with exposure to IBM software and hardware solutions.
Mandatory hands-on experience with IBM products and technologies.
Strong customer-facing experience, supporting enterprise sales teams throughout the sales cycle.
Proven experience delivering technical presentations, product demonstrations, and customer workshops.
Experience in solution positioning, technical consulting, and responding to customer requirements.
Solid understanding of solution design, architecture, and deployment/implementation of IBM technologies.
Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience working with enterprise customers across diverse industries is an advantage.
