The Clinical Counselor provides individual, group, and couples therapy as well as crisis intervention for university students using a brief treatment model. Additionally, the role involves providing consultation to faculty and staff, conducting campus outreach, and supervising graduate interns.
A Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required. Professional licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT) is preferred, and candidates must be licensed in Wisconsin within two years of hire.
A professional Academic Staff position in Counseling Services with the title of Clinical Counselor is available beginning August 2026. The position is full time from August through early June, with a 9-week work break in the Summer.
The Clinical Counselor is responsible for providing individual, group, couples therapy, and crisis intervention counseling services to university students. Consultation services to faculty and staff, and outreach activities are also performed by counselors to enhance the personal, social, educational and vocational development and adjustment of students and other members of the campus community.

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family therapy, or closely related field required from a regionally accredited institution.
