The Momentum
The DACH healthcare sector is experiencing a major wave of digital transformation. As leading university hospitals (Universitätsklinika), private laboratory networks, and research institutes across Germany, Austria, and Switzerland rapidly transition from traditional microscopy to digital workflows, the demand for highly secure, compliant, and scalable AI solutions is accelerating. This presents a premier opportunity for an ambitious sales hunter to establish Aiforia as the leading digital pathology standard in central Europe.
Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an agile, highly driven, and growth-minded sales hunter (Account Executive) to spearhead our growth and market penetration across the DACH region (Germany, Austria, and Switzerland).
You have a proven track record of complex organizational B2B sales within healthcare, medical IT, Pharma, or Biotech sectors, with strong expertise in software-based solutions (SaaS/PaaS). As a true hunter, you thrive on sourcing new business, navigating complex clinical and administrative decision-making matrices, and closing high-value deals. You are an exceptional negotiator, highly proactive, and skilled at turning small initial footprints into expansive, multi-year enterprise agreements.
A Collaborative Hunter: While you are an independent driver on the field, successfully deploying complex medical AI solutions requires a unified team effort. You will work in close partnership with our internal science and development departments, combining your commercial hunger with their deep technical expertise to articulate and deliver the perfect solutions for DACH clients. Thanks to our low-hierarchy structure, you will benefit from fast decision-making cycles and agile support.
Your main duties include:
Drive aggressive growth: Execute direct sales and secure new logos across clinical, preclinical, and research business verticals within the DACH market.
Pipeline Generation: Proactively identify and qualify high-potential accounts through targeted prospecting, leveraging marketing leads, and your own industry network.
Exceed Targets: Consistently meet and outperform ambitious sales quotas and strategic commercial objectives.
KOL & Stakeholder Management: Build and manage strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), laboratory directors, clinical chiefs, and key decision-makers.
Strategic Execution: Conduct account mapping , maintain accurate CRM/forecasting documentation , and report directly to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
Requirements
Minimum 5 years of B2B sales experience in digital pathology, medical image analysis, or enterprise healthcare IT (e.g., LIS, IMS, PACS).
Proven hunter track record: Demonstrated history of generating new business, driving value-based sales, and consistently exceeding quotas in complex healthcare environments.
Fluency in German (Native or Business Fluent) and English is a must. Excellent presentation and communication skills in both languages are mandatory to successfully negotiate with DACH hospital boards and clinical buyers.
Extensive existing network and client relationships within DACH university hospitals, healthcare networks, or medical research sectors.
Deep understanding of cloud-based software architectures, SaaS, or PaaS models.
Strong awareness of healthcare compliance, data privacy (GDPR), and cloud security standards in the DACH region.
Consultative, solution-oriented sales approach with top-tier negotiation skills.
Flexibility to travel across the DACH region and occasionally internationally as required.
Must possess existing valid authorization to work and reside in the DACH region (preferably based in Germany).
Educational Requirements
MSc or BSc degree for any of the following: Economics, Engineering, Business Management, Bioinformatics, Medicine, or Biology.
