The role supports manufacturing operations by troubleshooting equipment and process issues to ensure efficient production of medical imaging systems. Key duties include maintaining documentation, supporting new product introductions, and collaborating with engineers to improve production fixtures and tooling.
Candidates need an associate's degree in a technical field or a high school diploma with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience. Proficiency with hand tools, measurement equipment, and the ability to read technical schematics is required.
Assist manufacturing engineers in the design, development, and improvement of production processes, fixtures, and tooling.
Perform basic troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment and processes, escalating complex issues to higher-level technicians or engineers.
Collect and analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and support process optimization initiatives.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams.
Conduct time studies and participate in lean manufacturing activities to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
Support the implementation and validation of new products and processes on the production floor.
Perform routine maintenance and calibration of manufacturing equipment as directed.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).
Collaborate with production personnel to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure smooth operations.
Participate in root cause analysis for production defects and non-conformances.
Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Manufacturing Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology) or High School diploma and minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Proficiency with basic hand tools and measurement equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers).
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a medical device or electronics industry.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
