PURCHASING TEAM LEAD (M/F/D)

YOUR TASKS
Reporting to the Head of Logistics, you will lead a team of purchasing professionals and
be responsible for the end-to-end purchasing function across both production
and new programme activities.
Working closely
with local and global stakeholders, you will develop sourcing strategies,
negotiate with suppliers, optimise inventory, identify cost-saving
opportunities, and ensure uninterrupted supply to production while maintaining
high quality performance.
Lead and develop the Purchasing
team, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
Develop and implement purchasing
strategies aligned with business objectives.
Manage supplier relationships,
negotiations and commercial agreements.
Drive cost reduction initiatives
while maintaining quality and security of supply.
Support new product introduction
and programme purchasing activities.
Monitor supplier performance,
inventory levels and supply risks.
Ensure accurate purchasing master
data within SAP.
Partner closely with Production,
Engineering, Logistics, Quality and Global Purchasing teams.
Lead continuous improvement
initiatives across purchasing processes.
Ensure compliance with company
policies, corporate standards and health and safety requirements.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
We
are looking for someone who enjoys building strong supplier relationships and
influencing positive business outcomes.
3-5 years' experience in
Purchasing, Supply Chain or Materials Planning within a manufacturing
environment.
Proven leadership experience
leading and developing teams.
Strong negotiation and commercial
management skills.
Experience using SAP (desirable) or
a comparable ERP system.
Advanced Excel and Microsoft
Office skills.
Excellent analytical, planning and
organisational abilities.
Strong communication and
stakeholder management skills.
A continuous improvement mindset.
The ability to work effectively
within a global business environment.
A tertiary qualification in Supply
Chain, Procurement, Business or a related discipline will be highly
regarded.
