Overview
An HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Manager is responsible for developing and enforcing workplace safety, health, and environmental programs, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing multiple project safety teams, conducting audits and investigations, and promoting a strong safety culture across projects.
Your role
Develop, implement, and maintain Health, Safety, and Environmental policies, procedures, and guidelines in accordance with local legislations, company standards and project safety plan.
Act as a HSE leader and manage multiple projects specific safety teams.
Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards, risks, and non-compliance issues in the workplace.
Provide advice and guidance to management and employees on HSE matters, including risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of HSE programs and initiatives, and recommend improvements as needed.
Coordinate and participate in HSE training programs and workshops for employees to raise awareness and promote safety culture.
Establish and maintain accurate records and documentation related to HSE activities, incidents, inspections, and training.
Conduct incident investigations to determine root causes, prepare incident reports, and recommend preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Liaise with relevant authorities, clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with HSE legislations and standards.
Stay updated with new legislations, industry best practices, and emerging trends in HSE, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.
Foster a positive HSE culture by promoting employee engagement, participation, and accountability in HSE initiatives.
Manage and ensure compliance by contractors and compliance to the project safety plan and local authorities.
About you
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in occupational safety and health or related field (or equivalent experience).
Certified as HSE Officer
10+ years of experience in relevant field and Industrial project experience is preferred.
Experience of working on major projects and managing multiple projects at the same time.
Ability to provide technical direction and creative vision to highly skilled teams.
