The specialist will manage sourcing events, supplier selection, and cost reduction initiatives while collaborating with cross-functional teams. They are also responsible for supplier risk assessments and aligning procurement activities with the company's strategic vision.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required for this role. Candidates must possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
General Responsibilities
• Key participant in collaboration with functional areas to populate sourcing events, making decisions on sourcing event structure, supplier pool, selection criteria and event outcome criteria
• Key participant in activities as required cross-functionally, including Planning, Engineering, Quality, Programs, Finance, Legal and Manufacturing
• Responsible for the continuous development of the Procurement function towards the best practices
• Delivers corporate aligned procurement objectives supporting total company strategic vision
• Key participant in supplier risk assessments, risk management and disaster recovery planning
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
