The Supplier Quality Engineer investigates and resolves supplier quality issues by conducting audits and analyzing defect trends. They also lead continuous improvement projects and provide technical input for strategic sourcing and supplier selection processes.
Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of experience or a master's degree with 0-2 years of experience. Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities
• Organizes resolution of problems related to misunderstanding or misinterpretation of product specifications
• Key participant in active support during the supplier selection process, to ensure that a well-prepared and best supplier
• Provides technical input for strategic sourcing projects
• Key participant in / requests Supplier Risk Assessments
• Supports drawing and tool design reviews, works on measurement concepts
Experience / Qualifications
• A university degree and 2-4 years of experience (i.e. Bachelors degree) or a graduate degree and 0-2 years of experience (i.e. Masters degree)
• Must be a team player able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to handle multiple competing tasks and demands
• Strong communication skills; oral, written and presentation
• Strong organization, planning and time management skills to achieve results
• Strong personal and professional ethical values and integrity
• Holds self-accountable to achieving goals and standards
• Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
• Strong interpersonal & collaboration skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization including suppliers and/or external customers
